Item fits perfectly in windowsill measurements are precise, unfortunately had to replace owing to damage from warehouse on the water level indicator, this is a photo of the original, but it's of a reasonable sturdiness for indoor use and the price isn't bad. Can't wait to get the replacement so I can start transplanting my herbs in

Excellent product & good value

At the price they are decent value. Other reviewers have stated they bulge under the pressure of soil. There is a centre support bridge for light loads but we are using them as inserts for Austrian style planter troughs. We constructed these with decking timber on a 40mm base timber. For heavy soil loads they might not be strong enough but in this situation are perfect.

Very good size and portable to any part of the garden

Box arrived opened and the troughs not secured. NO drainage holes so have had to tip out overload of rain twice in 2 days. the ball floating thermometer doohickey did not work and the phalange that you have to invert to be able to use for watering and storage of thermometer was so thin it creased and will shear off if I should reverse it for storage. The bottom length of plastic designed for water storage will be very useful come summer as it will store water during the heat but disastrous for winter bulbs which would simply rot off if I hadn't spotted the obvious oversight. The thin restraining strip going across the width of the trough designed to stabilise it is useless as it doesn't locate securely and pops out again at whim. Poor value and quality for the money paid.
