Impressive Colt 1911 replica.
I have "real" 1911s and this Colt Commander is a very cool and realistic replica. The all metal slide and frame give it a solid feel but it is still lighter than the real thing. I've fired it just over a hundred times and it works great. I used 2 cartridges. It doesn't seem to be as accurate as my old Crossman Model 1377 but then one probably wouldn't expect it to be. It's good enough for practicing on paper targets. The black finish with chrome barrel and Colt branding is very nice looking. I thought about putting some nice wood grips on it but the plastic grips are not bad at all.I've been watching this for awhile on Amazon and when the price dropped from $100 to $85 I had to bite. This is the first replica I've gotten and I am happy with it so far. The appearance is impressive. John Browning would be proud.UPDATE (7/12.2016). The gun stopped working. I racked the slide and pulled the trigger a couple times and there was a weak gas noise. I field stripped and reassembled it but nothing. After field stripping and reassembling it a few times I figured out there were BB's jammed in the chamber. I used a wooded kabob skewer down the barrel to pop them out and that fixed the problem. I was almost to the point of returning this for repairs. If your gun stops working all of a sudden make sure there's not a BB feed problem due to a stuck BB.Also, reviews typically say this gun is all metal except the grips. However, the mechanism in the slide back on the hammer end is also plastic or nylon. It looks to be the mechanism that tranfers BB from magazine to chamber. Not saying that is bad, just an FYI/correction8/8/2016 upadate. I've shot 1500 rounds through it. Several times I had BBs jam (Hornady anodized). If your gun stops working make sure you don't have BBs jammed at base of barrel. Remove magazine & field strip. Use a wooden kabob skewer to push any BBs out of the barrel and make sure all is clear. Reassemble and it works fine. This has happened 3 or 4 times. Otherwise gun is perfect, looks great and fun to shoot. Accuracy is okay. Not as good as a rifled pellet gun which would be expected. Still fun.UPDATE: 1 YR later. I've put thousands of bbs through this and it works as well today as when I first got it. I have not made any repairs or replaced any parts. I used a bluing pen to touch up wear on sharp edges and that is it.

Great Replica!
The Colt Commander 1911 BB gun with CO2 blowback is a fantastic airsoft replica of the iconic firearm. The blowback feature adds realism to the shooting experience, providing a satisfying kick with each shot. The attention to detail in its design is commendable, making it feel authentic and solid in hand. The CO2 power source ensures consistent power and performance, allowing for accurate shots and a decent number of rounds before needing a CO2 cartridge change. The BB gun's magazine capacity is sufficient for most recreational shooting scenarios. One aspect to consider is that the blowback feature does consume more CO2, which might lead to slightly fewer shots per cartridge compared to non-blowback models. However, the realism it offers more than makes up for this trade-off.Overall, the Colt Commander 1911 BB gun is a great choice for enthusiasts and collectors looking to own a piece of firearm history in a safe and enjoyable manner. Its build quality, accuracy, and blowback action provide an exhilarating shooting experience for users of all levels.

Its a good actual metal airsoft gun
The media could not be loaded. Its actually one of the best and reliable and it feels so good and realistic if you think that you're not gonna get your moneys worth you will because this is a good payment for this quality. P.S i flinched because when i was reloading i pinched the palm of my hand 😂🥲

a pretty nice bb gun
All and all, a pretty nice bb gun. All metal, solid weight and feel. I wanted a gun that I can practice my pistol shooting in my backyard, since I am fairly new to shooting (about 1 year) and its hard to get to the range with my schedule and even at the range since it's outdoor range there is no way to quickly make adjustments.I just used this for the first time today but I"m pretty happy with this. It seems to shoot consistently and from 25" my groupings look similar to when shooting my .22LR or 9mm pistol. The kick is similar to my Ruger SR22 (maybe a little less) so it's a decent practice simulation in terms of holding and adjusting between shots.. Being able to shoot a few, then walk up and see the shot and then adjust immediately is really nice, and I can already see things that I am doing wrong like jerking or pulling right/left and quickly adjust to see how different ways of gripping and pulling the trigger effect the results. I'm pleasantly surprise how much feedback I have been able to get just from about 80 "rounds".I'd definitely recommend this one, The only real detraction is it can be hard to load the BBs they don't really want to go in and they pop out easy, but after a few magazines worth I've figured out a pattern that seem to work, but it seems you really need to put the magazine down and use both hands to load it. The other issue is the magazine spring will actually let you pull it back too far (does not seem to have a stop where it should) and will let you put more bb's in than your supposed to, and when you go to far do the spring will lock on a little latch and then the bbs won't feed. so you have to count how many bbs' you've put in rather than just loading till it stops, that can be difficult because as it is a bit hard to load and the bb's often will fall out as your trying to load it's easy to lose your count. Luckily you can just pull back the spring tab and re-count them so that's nice. My concern was that it wouldn't be accurate enough to use to practice and make corrections to my grip and pull, but I am pleasantly surprised it seems to work very nicely as a practice/trainer pistol.

Not for competitive use
The gun is made with mostly metal parts, making the weight really good in the hands, and also ensures the durability of the gun.The aim isn't the best for long distances, making it unstable for competitive airsoft guns, but it certainly does its job as a backup. It can hold up to 17-18 bullets (forgot the exact amount) including a loaded bb in the barrel, so it can fire a good amount before the need to reload.
