Installed easily and works well on Windows XP SP3
We had a data entry clerk at work that needed dual monitors on a Windows XP computer. Given the age of that operating system, our choices were limited in video cards that support Windows XP.I bought the VisionTek ATi Radeon 7000 64 MB DDR2 PCI Graphics Card 900029. The card inserted in the PCI slot with no issue and the drivers installed from the included disc without incident. The video card has two ports on it – one is a VGA port and the other is a DVI port. The video card includes an adapter so that you can connect a VGA cable to the DVI port if you need to. We’ve tested it both ways successfully. The clerk has been using this card with dual monitors for several weeks now and it has worked very well for her. I’d recommend this card to anyone who needs dual monitors on a Windows XP computer.

This graphics card is NOT compatible with Windows Vista, 7 or 8!!
I ordered this card in November, 2012 to upgrade my son's computer for Christmas (he wanted dual monitors.) When we tried to install it into a PCI slot, the computer wouldn't recognize it. So, after spending some time researching why it wouldn't work, I ordered a PCI Express to PCI Adapter card in February, 2013 and tried installing it in the computer's PCI Express slot. That worked like a charm! Unfortunately, when we upgraded his operating system to Windows 7 from XP yesterday (02/26/13), Windows 7 didn't recognize the card! When I called Vision Tek, they said the VisionTek ATi Radeon 7000 card isn't compatible with any operating system past XP. This information wasn't outlined anywhere on Amazon's site!!! My time and financial investment has proven fruitless, and Amazon's return window is closed! I'm extremely disappointed that Amazon and Vision Tek are still selling this card when it is basically obsolete!

It works as advertised.I have a quite old desktop w/o PCIe socket(s)and only VGA video out.I needed an output to run a HDMI TV/monitor andstill be able to run old DOS / w95 / w98 software. It does this quite well.It plays DVDs (480p) well.It sometimes chokes on MP4s (720p)It usually chokes on MP4s (1080p)Overall it's a big improvement on the original MBbut still not what I had hoped.I do have newer machines but I didn't want to use themas media players and they choke on old software. The experiments continue.I know a 1995 station wagon will never be a 2010 cargovan but I can still try improvements.I hope this helped.

Perfect for Workstations with dual monitors
This is one great piece of hardware. Its cheap, it works perfectly, plug and play, no drivers needed, and it fits into the PCI slot with no problems. This is PCI not PCI-e so be careful. I have installed this video card on over 10 Dell Optiplex 320's for my office. It is my video card of choice.

Very outdated card.
Short and sweet folks. Be leery buying this card unless you have an older operating system (pre-vista) as this card not only does not support vista/win 7, there are no drivers available for it. I'm sure for older operating systems, it may be a decent card, but it is completely unusable on a modern OS.In my opinion, Amazon should force third party vendors to disclose this information in the product description. Granted, I should have done my homework and researched this outside of Amazon, but I didn't. My bad.Sending mine back...

Does Not Work with Windows 98
The card is well built and probably would work well with a Windows XP computer, but I was looking for a card that would work with Windows 98 for a legacy PC that I have been building. The driver that comes with the card is for Windows XP only, and the downloadable driver available on the manufacturer's website for Windows 98 does not detect the card. I spent a couple days trying various drivers I was able to find on the internet but with no success. I ended up returning the card, which was an easy process, and purchased a used card from the appropriate time period which worked immediately.

works fine with Win XP and Gigabyte motherboard bought years ago to update old PC
I'd bought a Gigabyte motherboard and PSU to upgrade an old Tiny 98SE PC. The graphics card on the Tiny PC was not compatible so needed a replacement

An older model that works well with legacy systems
Just what I needed for an older PCI computer running an old operating system (pre-Windows 7!). Works like a charm and doesn't draw much power.
