Budded Cross W/Filigree Design

The Budded Cross is also known as Apostle's Cross for its total of twelve buds (shamrock like ends), and it is it is also known as The Trinity Cross, for three buds being one larger one on all four ends.For myself, I was looking for a Protestant Altar Cross for a chapel, and this was the design I settled on. What suprised me is how large it really is, you read 24 inches tall, and for some reason the enmority of the piece does not set in until it arrives. This is not some book end or trophy size cross, it is almost a Rood proper, a large cross that will engulf you altar with its presence.The cross comes in two parts, the Cross itself, and the stand which is screwed on with bolt and ring. I recommend if you want to affixed firmly to get a wrench and tighten it.Overall, I am more than pleased with the Trinity Cross. Its filigree design looks like the Rose of Sharon and vines, rather than more Celtic designs of Celtic Crosses, and the IHS or Christogram which is an abbreivation of Christ's Name in Greek IΗΣΟΥΣ . The IHS does not stand for Constantine The Great's revelatory words at the Battle of Milvan Bridge, "In Hoc Sig-natius: In this sign you shall conquer."Another worthy mention is that if you intend to travel with this piece, you will need a cushioned guitar case or case, and haul it in suitcase; it is very large and is not transported with ease.

We bought this Cross for a small chapel. At 23 inches high it's the perfect size for our needs.This Cross is very attractive without being gaudy. It fits well in a traditional chapel and carries with it a sense of dignity and noble simplicity.In addition to being beautiful, it is solid and stands very stable so there's no fear of it falling over.One recommendation if you purchase it, be sure to handle it with gloves to avoid fingerprints. It will tarnish with improper handling.For the price, we feel that we received more than our money's worth!

Beautiful Cross! It arrived in time for our Easter Mass! For the price it is gorgeous and looks as nice as other similar crosses from competitors.

First of all, don’t despair if it wobbles when you put it together. Just add another “washer.” The company should send 2 washers instead of one. I ordered this Cross for a home wedding back in August 2022, and it’s so beautiful and majestic, makes such a powerful statement, and reminds me every day to Whom I am anchored, so I am leaving it right where it is. You know how sad it feels to take down a Christmas tree when it’s time to? Well, when the wedding was over and I started taking down all the candles and other decorations, I simply could not take down this Cross. I wish I’d had this Cross in my home decades ago. It’s even more beautiful than the picture. It’s understated elegance.
