Stay away! Bad product!
In the picture it looks the same as the OEM.It comes with the upper and lower gaskets and most of the bolts and nuts. Seems like a good deal. The good news is the main things aligned - the top 5 holes and the bottom two where in the right places. So you can connect this cat to the engine block and to the exhaust pipe. The bad news is most other things don't align. I had to drill holes in all 3 heat shields to me able to attach them. The bottom two pieces didn't align well, so it looks crooked now.The main problem was that the main support bracket didn't align properly. If you just try to attach this bracket to the cat itself ( there are two bolts) you'll have to bend the bracket. Once you managed that, if you try the cat on the engine, this bracket is 1/4" to the left and 1/4" away from the hole in the engine block where it's supposed to be bolted. So I had to drill and file a new hole in the bracket. A the problem with that is it's 1/4" thick steel and the hole is close to the original hole, so you can't use the drill, but have to file it.Second big problem was that they included the 3 pins and the thread step on them didn't match the cat itself and the nuts they've included. I bought a set of pins and nuts separately. Without it I'd have drive to Home depot and try to find some matching bolts. Those 3 pins are very important. I had to cut the old pins to remove my old cat from the engine. If I didn't order these extra pins, I wouldn't be able to finish installing this cat.Third thing is they put the lower gasket, which is made of what looks like graphite, in the plastic bag with all the bolts and threw in the box with the cat. The gasket came all damaged because of contact with the bolts. I was glad I also ordered the extra gasket.Forth, the car is working now, so it's drivable, but the cat smokes. It's not the exhaust smoke, but like something is burning. I think the cat was covered with some oil or it's some solder remnants or something inside it, but it smokes and stinks.I'm not sure if it would be the same with any other replacement cat.Replacing a cat is not an easy job, but it shouldn't be that hard. The lower part of the cat, where it connects to the exhaust pipe seems cast iron. The two hole, where the pins go, match the location of the exhaust pipe holes, but the hole for the left bracket is in the wrong place. This piece is cast iron, so it's not a welder's error. The whole cat seemed to be hand welded. Maybe it's the only way to do it, but you can't expect a perfect match in this case. This cat is sold at Autozone for 500 and change. I'm guessing, they're selling the items that failed quality control on the Amazon. That is fine as long as it's clearly stated in the item description.Amazon's recourse would be, fine, return this item for a full refund. Great! But think of this: it's Sunday, you took the old cat out and can't put it back in, because you had to cut the pins and tomorrow you have to go to work. And on Tuesday, when a replacement part can arrive, there's a snow storm in the forecast.UPDATE:It's been about a year since I've installed it.Some time after the installation the car developed a new sound. It's similar to a cow bell. You can hear it as the car starts moving from a standstill.Recently it developed an exhaust manifold gasket leak which caused it to loose power to the point where driving over 25mph became next to impossible. When replacing the gasket I've removed the manifold and found that "the media" or whatever you call the contents of the cat converter is freely moving inside the converter. It is what was making the cow bell sound. Not only it's moving, it doesn't seem to be attached to anything. The tip of it was sticking out of the bottom flange looking lake a bee hive.Apart from the sound, I'd imagine this would shorten the lifespan of the cat converter because the media is fragile and is constantly beating against the walls of the cat. I can't imagine it to be the intended design. In the original cat converter I saw a mesh inside when looking through the bottom flange. I think they forgot to install the mesh.Bottom line is do yourself a favor and buy a better cat.
