Plews& Edelmann Tru-Flate 18-215 1/4' Female NPT Input Safety Blowgun with Rubber & Safety Nozzle

Iv'e given the Tru-Flate 5 stars because they have OSHA certified theirs to handle up to 150psi INLET standing pressure. They even state it below ... "has an operating pressure rating of 150 pounds per square inch (psi)..." . You won't find it on the packaging but if you call them up to verify they will ask for the model #er and confirm that it does indeed handle up to 150psi inlet pressure.What many do not understand when purchasing a blow nozzle is that most generic blow nozzles, including what you find at your local big box hardware / tool stores, are only rated for approx 90psi inlet pressure. Since the vast majority of portable compressors have their regulators set to about 110 / 120 psi - your el-cheapo chrome plated blow nozzle is essentially a bomb waiting to go off. The packaging they come in (not talking about the Tru-Flate) even warns you that these generic blow nozzles are only safe for 90psi or below. Not something you want in your hand or to toss down onto the concrete floor.

need a air blow gun for the welding truck, (had just put a gasoline power air compressor on the truck) so I ordered this gun for the truck,in the shop I find the rubber tip handy but many times it restricts the amount of air and for really blowing out some thing or what ever wanted the other tip as well,but saw this one with two tips, and figured extra tip instead of two guns,(why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) there is no storage place to keep the other tip that is not being used would have been nice to have a place to screw in the unused tip to keep track of it, so now I will have to figure out some way of not loosing the extra tip,

I was deliberating for a while, checked out other products and other reviews and chose this one.I'm glad I did.It is of good quality and I like that the nozzle is removable. The local car wash appears to use the same for years and they don't go easy on these, so I trust their judgement too.

Seems good, I use it regularly in my car hobby and it has good control and flow. Rubber tipe has a brass head that threads into gun and holds it well. If it doesn't hold up I'll know soon and will update.

Update January 2020. After owning this for more than three years I still think it’s a great purchase. Original review July 2017.Very heavy brass construction, nice rubber tip. I highly recommend this blowoff gun.

I can blow off shop equipment from 10 feet away. If you drop dirt into an engine, this will get it out. Not good for low-pressure stuff. Full blast or nothing. Will explode a balloon in about 0.5 seconds so don't stick it in valvebodies or butts

Time will tell, but wanted a QUALITY nozzle that can handle shop pressures around 120 constantly. Push handle has CHINA stamped on it. So, that tells me this is cheap if the company is willing to pay for a part with China printed so boldly on there product. I will update my stars in the near future either way after some use...

Works good, no leaking so far
