Works like the original (though I like the original way better). For the price it is an excellent backup remote for my Samsung TV and I use it anytime the original remote gets misplaced for a few days. Can't beat it for the price it is great to have this on standby!

Could not have been any easier,…right out of the box, … installed the two AAA Batteries (included with the remote) … tried it …and it worked !…Purchasing additional units for all the other Samsung smart tv’s in our home…Honestly wish, that everything we buy was as easy to install and use …

Great remote. Netflix button did not work for my TV but overall great remote.

The buttons stuck in the down position on the standard Samsung Remote after years of use leading to dead batteries and the appearance of a dead-remote. I searched hard to find one that would replace the existing unit because it was configured to (1) control the Samsung TV, (2) adjust volume on a SONOS playbar and (3) bring up the apps for playing Netflix and Prime Video on the television itself.For the important features, this works as an equivalent remote to the original Samsung. It is lighter and has a few different buttons (and an exposed IR emitter port) but seems to be a good functional equivalent for me.You can see in the images the comparison to the original Samsung. The buttons that differ are not buttons I've ever used on purpose so I don't know how that might impact someone else.

has difficulty with channel changing

...third time's a charm. I guess. I had to return 2 other brands because they worked very badly if at all. I took off 1 star because to only two buttons that light are the VOL and CH buttons and because it uses AAA batteries and everything else I have uses AA batteries. I put the star back because it has a Smart TV Hub button and the batteries were included. The buttons are a little harder to press than the original but at least it has the missing buttons my original remote doesn't have. My Samsung remote has replaced a lot of the buttons with an on screen cursor which doesn't always work. Also has voice activation which is a joke.

The remotes that came with our TVs had been handled and used so much that the marking had worn completely off. We finally decided to replace them and WHAT A WONDERFUL DIFFERENCE. The units were lighter weight, but were EXACTLY like our old ones--well, unlike the OLD ones, the NEW ones work better and we can identify the functions for the various buttons and controls. Don't know why we waited so long to replace the worn-out remotes.

The product appeared to work out of the box. I put in the batteries provided and it seemed to work fine.A day later, it started to work only intermittently. So I replaced the batteries with brand new ones that had never been used before.It seemed to work fine for a day. The next day, it started to work only intermittently again. My wife discovered that if you point it directly to the IR sensor at the lower right corner of the TV, it worked a bit better. However, even when doing that, we had to press the buttons several times to get the TV to recognize the signals coming from the remote.This product is unacceptable to us. We are returning it for a refund.
