2 Story Fire Escape Ladder (13ft) by Safety First | Emergency Ladder Comes w/Fiberglass Fire Blanket | All New Anti-Slip Step, Easy to Deploy & Easy to Store

I live in a two story home. Recently one of our neighbors two story homes caught fire and fortunately everyone was able to get out of the house with no injuries. It gave me some perspective about what could happen to myself or my kids in a situation such as that. This ladder is a step toward safeguarding what matters most to me in my life. The ladder itself is good quality and I like the packaging with the blanket addition.

I ordered this particular, more expensive fire escape because I wanted to drill with my kids, and this ladder did not indicate that it was a ‘single use’ product. Unfortunately, it is. To my eyes, therefore, this product is Indistinguishable from the Kiddie escape ladder, which is a third of the price. (The only difference between them is that the Safety First model comes with a storage bag and the “free” blanket, neither of which are worth $50 IMO.) I was also disappointed to find that the instructions were a poorly-photocopied handout for a different, adjustable fire escape, so they were useless. Not reassuring to find that kind of sloppiness in a safety product. I am returning.

This was a must buy purchase. Having a bedroom on the second floor this gives me peace of mind in case of a fire. We did a test run using it and it was simple to set up and I could easily use by myself.

The ladder looks great and feels sturdy. I hope I never have to really use it in an emergency, but I feel better having it in my home. I love the idea of having a fire-proof blanket in our home as well.

I bought three of these and am very with the product. Hopefully I’ll never have to use them!

Seems well made and very solid.

This product says it comes with a good fire blanket, but it doesn’t. One of the reasons I ordered it. Really disappointed.
